Love is something that we feel between two living individuals. What about with a non living doll? Lars And The Real Girl is about a socially awkward man named Lars Lindstrom (Ryan Gosling) who finds the warmth and emotional connection with Bianca, a life-sized doll. As Lars continues his relationship, his family, brother Gus (Paul Schneider) and his wife Karis (Emily Mortimer), and the town must accommodate for Bianca. This is a very interesting situation for everyone as they see a grown man walking around with an artificial girlfriend.

When the film starts you feel uneasy as Ryan Gosling portrays a very hidden man who dislikes human contact by any means. Once Bianca steps into the picture, we see a happier side which stays sweet throughout the film as everyone accepts and brings the doll into the community. Every actor/actress in the film has created a mild but sweet vibe for the movie making you love but worried for the hardships to come. Also some comedic undertone has been placed in the moving giving the viewer a chuckle.

Lars And The Real Girl is not an energectic crazy film that most people want but its a true emotion film which keeps you on the tips of your toes as the characters lived an uncommon lifestyle.
