When I first gazed upon the screenshots for Str.A.In.: Strategic Armored Infantry, I was mesmerized by the quality of work. Right then and there I bought a copy of The Complete Series DVD for a better look into the show.

The series is 13 episodes that follow Sara Werec who trains to become a Strain pilot for revenge on her older brother. Before we go further, a Strain is a robot that has the ability to battle and travel in sub-light speed. Through the series we see her evolve as she puts more trust in her team of pilots but at the same time hides a dark secret.

Str.A.In.: Strategic Armored Infantry: The Complete Series is an addicting anime that I spent a whole afternoon watching. After completing each episode I immediately wanted to see what would happen next as each episode ended on a suspense filled moment. What was nice about this series was that even though it was about Strains, they were not always engaged in battles. The writers took the time to develop the characters, allowing us to connect with Sara and the rest of the team. Also, the imagery on the screen is top notch giving each character a multidimensional look while also keeping it light with the colours. If I could meet the artists of this anime, I would love to have them draw me a tattoo design.

Str.A.In.: Strategic Armored Infantry is an anime I think every anime fan should check out for its good story line, amazing art work and great characters. I hope they make a follow up to this series in the near future.
